Es una noticia que ya pasó en realidad pero que no está de más volver a comentar. Rescato el post que hizo JavierDM en su blog personal y cito:

En busca de una lógica, el profesor ensayó otro análisis: “Creo que le entiendo. Usted quiere que sea en el fútbol como Pepe Sánchez es en el básquet, o sea un estratega, alguien que combina como pocos la inteligencia y la energía, un fabricante de espacios donde parece que no hay espacio. Bah… un crack”. Relajado, el padre oyó con paciencia y también tuvo respuesta para eso: “No, le agradezco. Admiro a Pepe Sánchez, pero yo no podría exigirle tanto. El mismo Pepe Sánchez, aun con otra tristeza, dijo palabras mayores, dijo que en el deporte hay que saber ganar pero también hay que saber perder, y que los rivales habían jugado mejor. Este sitio no tiene un nombre antojadizo. Fue creado hace casi cuatro años con ese nombre, “Shooting for 3″ (tirando para tres), relacionado al eterno amor que tengo por el básquet. Ese día, Pepe jugó como no se puede jugar virtualmente. Sí, porque así no se puede jugar. Los que más o menos entendemos “algo” de este deporte (creo entender, es más, creo que es en lo único en lo que puedo jactarme como “entendido” y especialista) sabemos que lo que jugó Pepe ese día no tiene nombre. Y cuatro años después, en el Mundial de Japón, pasó lo mismo, pero en todo el torneo. Y no fue menos su aporte en el Juego Olímpico de Atenas 2004.

Aquella vez, en 2002 y después del subcampeonato, Pepe no fue a la recepción preparada para el plantel por el entonces presidente, Eduardo Duhalde.
